Hey everyone! Hope your summer is as productive as you’d wish. I got turned on to this amazing and inspiring book that you should all get ASAP. It’s called Art & Fear : Observations on the Perils (and Rewards) of Artmaking, by David Bayles & Ted Orland. It’s in pb for $12.95 ISBN 13: 978-0-9614547-3-9. It is so much about everything we said, felt and did — you WILL see yourself in much of what they write about! Be well!

Grand Opening – July 3rd from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm – The Gallery at Twenty Pearl. I’m thrilled to be a part of this new cooperative gallery on Pearl Street in Hyannis. Please stop in and say “Hello.” Pearl Street is turning into the centerpiece of the Town of Barnstable’s efforts to turn Hyannis into an art destination. All very exciting!

I would really like to continue to meet on our own as a group and wished that I had brought that up specifically at our last meeting. Anyone else interested? Other, larger groups serve a purpose, but our small group has a intimate and unique bond that is not easily recreated.

On Saturday, May 24, 12:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Castle Hill Studio, 1 Depot Rd., Truro, MA, there will be a printmaking show and sale. I will be demonstrating printmaking techniques, including chine colle, a method for adding colored rice papers to original prints. Truro Center for the Arts at Castle Hill has invited the Printmakers of Cape Cod to participate in a print show and sale and a day of demonstrations. Please note that this is at the printmaking studio in the center of town, not at their older location. I hope that you can attend!

Hi everyone,
I just got a call from Sara Jessica Fine Art in P-town and they sold 2 paintings. A small one and the one titled “Happy Place Revisited”. I am going in now to put “sold” under the painting on my web site. I am so excited and there is nothing like it to yank me out of depression for sure. It is also a great boost going into the show this weekend.
Also thanks for all the feedback on the bio. This is invaluable having so many friends that are so talented themselves and so supportive and giving and kind. I feel blessed and grateful. Thanks again.

Hi Beth,
I do not seem to be “linked”! What am I not doing? Where do I put my e-mail and how do I get linked on the “What’s my Story” page?
Help!
Thanks, Holly
